Community Impact

A Culture of Service

At Park Avenue Wealth Management, it’s engrained in our firm’s culture to serve others as we strive to make a difference in people’s lives – and it inspires the work we do for you. As part of our outreach and involvement, each year, we donate and volunteer with charities, local organizations, community projects, non-profits, and causes that closely align with our core values.

How We Make A Difference

Moxie Women's Network

Moxie Women's Network

In 2016, Lisa Krall, Owner of Park Avenue Wealth Management, founded The Moxie Women’s Network, a social empowerment platform that builds relationships and shares resources with women throughout Westmoreland County.

With quarterly events located in Latrobe, Ligonier, and Greensburg, each meeting provides networking opportunities and topics valuable to female businesswomen in our region. These topics range from writing to public speaking and even self-defense, helping women grow personally and professionally.

Community Educator

Community Educator

For over four years Lisa has hosted financial education seminars for the community of Hempfield township. Attendees have enjoyed more than 48 workshops ranging from general financial knowledge to specific issues such as women’s economic independence.

Pioneering these conversations is critical to cultivating trust between clients and financial professionals. These workshops provide the attendees with confidence to have “the finance talk.”

How We Stay Involved

Rotary District 7305 E-Club

Rotary District 7305 E-Club

Park Avenue Wealth Management owner and founder Lisa Krall CFP ® serves on the finance committee of the Pittsburgh Rotary 7305 E-Club. Rotary International is a humanitarian service organization that brings together business and professional leaders to provide community service, promote integrity, and advance goodwill, peace, and understanding in the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization.

Her clubs'  goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support primary education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. This year they have partnered with the Pittsburgh Prison Book Project to collect and donate requested books to the incarcerated. Lisa Krall has been an active member since 2019 and has contributed to this group by assisting the finance committee with budgeting.

The Visionaries

The Visionaries

Both Lisa and Leah are members of The Visionaries through the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County. Lisa sits on the professional advisor's committee and encourages local residents to become philanthropists through planned giving. Leah participates in monthly meetings and votes on fund donations to new nonprofits each year.

The Visionaries work to nurture philanthropic leadership through grantmaking and developing a permanent endowment, the Visionary Fund. As this fund grows, the income is used as grants given to nonprofits in the community.

Pittsburgh Professional Women

Pittsburgh Professional Women

Pittsburgh Professional Women began as an online resource with just eight women and has now evolved into one of the largest professional membership organizations for women in Western Pennsylvania. It's mission is to educate, motivate and inspire women and help them find success in life and business.

Lisa has been partnering with PPW since the early years of her career. This group has become a vital piece of Lisa's business puzzle and allowed her to branch out within the community. She has been a featured speaker, event host and recently received the 2021 Influential Leadership Award.

How We Give Back

Inspired Women of Westmoreland

Inspired Women of Westmoreland

Inspired Women was created to allow busy women to still give back to their community. To connect and learn more about non-profits in our region and to identify deep needs around them.

Park Avenue Wealth Management Owner Lisa Krall CFP® and Client Services and Marketing Assistant Leah Shash are involved with Inspired Women. The organization provides space for women who have more in their lives to help women who have less.

This past year funds were raised for Basic Health International.
This organization is based in Pittsburgh, PA, and raises awareness for cervical cancer and works to provide women with the healthcare they need to prevent this disease.

BHI has taken its fieldwork, diplomacy, and advocacy models, expertise in research and innovation and built a model that communities worldwide can use. This model can also be applied to other viral diseases affecting vulnerable communities, like the COVID-19 crisis. Currently, BHI assists in clinical trials and programs focused on cervical cancer in El Salvador, Peru, Colombia, Haiti, and China. Our work during COVID-19 has expanded additional research sites for test validation in El Salvador, Malawi, Nigeria, and Paraguay.

Toys 4 Tots

Toys 4 Tots

Our toy collection begins in October and lasts until mid to late December. Clients, friends, and family drop off unwrapped toys in the collection box at our office for distribution.

At Christmas, Toys for Tots partners with local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies to distribute the toys to the community's less fortunate children.

Over the years, Park Avenue Wealth Management has donated hundreds of toys to children in need within our community, bringing happiness to them and their families.

Seton Hill Adopt a Family

Seton Hill Adopt a Family

This organization partners with Park Avenue Wealth Management during the Christmas holiday. They strive to be the premier early education provider in the communities and serve by preparing children and families to enter school and successfully close the existing achievement gaps. Our firm contributes Christmas gifts to at least one family with children per year.

Park Avenue Wealth Management places giving back at the top of our list. There are needs within our community that we can see and take action to fulfill. Childcare is costly, and some families are unable to provide a large Christmas for their children because of other expenses. We are happy to provide help to their parents and place smiles on the children's faces!
